Musically, this song was written on the very day that the “Unite the Right” Rally occurred on August 11th and 12th of 2017, where Far-right groups participated, including self-identified members of the alt-right, neo-Confederates, neo-fascists, white nationalists, neo-Nazis, Klansmen, and various right-wing militias marched, chanting racist and antisemitic slogans and carried weapons, Nazi and neo-Nazi symbols, the Valknut, Confederate battle flags, Deus Vult crosses, flags, and other symbols of various past and present anti-Islamic and anti-Semitic groups.
The organizers' stated goals included unifying the American white nationalist movement and opposing the proposed removal of the statue of General Robert E. Lee from Charlottesville's former Lee Park. This event led to a clash between these far-right groups as well as far-left counter protestors, resulting in the death of Heather Danielle Heyer, who was struck by a white supremacists car after driving it into a crowd of counter protestors, injuring many others as well.
This was the perfect opportunity for us to make our own statement against white supremacy, nationalism, and racism that has been expressed throughout our country's history and was emboldened on that day.
This song is our call to action. This is where we stand.
lyrics
(No room for compromise) x6
No room for compromise
I won't be known for just standing by
No room for compromise
Your ideology is nauseating
Digest the ignorance
You stand for everything that I despise
Zealous for selfishness
Manipulate the weak so you can think you're strong
Grip of the jealous heart
Hypnotized upon that swastika
Accept that you will fail
Abhorrent actions in the name of race
Saturate this violence
I'll smother your tongues of fire
Abandoned all of your honor
You worship flesh as if it's all you have
Control the clenching of this fist
And how it longs to kiss your lips
Atone for everything you say
We are the threat
It's the beginning of a movement
To see your kind become extinct
You see it's not your flesh we seek
But the idea that's underneath
So you can take your blood and soil
And mix them both to dig your graves
You have lost the war one time
Don't think it will ever change
This is the place where I will plant my feet
You wanna try something, well come after me
I got nothing left to lose except for empathy
