about

This song was written on August 17, 2017; a day in which us and many others watched in horror as white supremacist and fascist groups openly marched in the streets of America, and ultimately attacked American citizens; killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer.

For many people, these sort of ideologies were something that was relegated to history books or to small back-woods towns in the deep south.

The past few years have seen a resurgence of various hate groups; from white-nationalist groups to increased bigotry against the LGBTQ community, to a large increase in antisemitism. This song represents a call to action against bigotry and hate, wherever it lies. There is no more excuse for silence.

If you're looking for resources and ways to get involved, the Southern Poverty Law Center (www.splcenter.org) is an absolutely amazing resource and a great place to get started.

Stopping bigotry and hate takes all of us.

lyrics

No room for compromise
I wont be known for just standing by
No room for compromise
You’re ideology is nauseating

Digest the ignorance
You stand for everything that I despise
Zealous for selfishness
Manipulate the weak so you can think you’re strong
Grip of the jealous heart
Hypnotized upon the swastika
Accept that you will fail
Abhorrent actions in the name of race

Saturate this violence
I’ll smother your tongues of fire
Abandoned all of your honor
Worship flesh as if its all you have

Control the clenching of this fist
And how it longs to kiss your lips
Account for everything you say
We are the threat

Its the beginning of a movement
To see your kind become extinct
You see its not your flesh we seek
But the idea thats underneath

You can take your blood and soil
Mix them both to dig your graves
You have lost the war one time
Don’t think it will ever change

This is the place where i will plant my feet
You wanna try something come after me
I got nothing to lose except for empathy
